An important tenant of addiction recovery is giving back what was freely given to you, which is where service comes in. Service gives us the opportunity to step outside of ourselves, allows us to stay in the present moment, integrates us into the community, and increases our sense of gratitude.
Wasatch Crest’s Clinical Director Rich McDonald, CMHC, and Alumni Coordinator Becky Wheelock, CPSS, discuss how service can help keep clients sober. You can watch their presentation below.
