Support Groups

Our Friends and Family Support Group

We offer a weekly, virtual support group on Wednesday evenings to individuals with loved ones struggling with addiction. Attendees are able to learn about addiction and connect with peers facing similar circumstances in a safe, structured space. To attend any of the meetings, you can join via Zoom here.

How Do Support Groups Help Those Who Have Loved Ones Struggling With Addiction?

Support groups can be great resources for anyone struggling with the effects of a loved one's drug or alcohol addiction. They provide people with emotional support systems and opportunities to share their struggles with people who understand them most. These support groups can be highly effective at helping individuals obtain knowledge, create friendships, and find confidence while navigating a loved one's addiction or recovery.

What Type of Individuals Would Benefit from Support Groups?

Anyone struggling with a friend or family member's addiction can benefit from our support group. Support groups provide individuals with emotional connection and offer them the opportunity to share their experiences. Participants will likely meet others who have similar experiences to them, forming a sense of community.

Can Anyone Attend Our Support Group?

Yes. Anyone who has been affected by the addiction of a loved one can join a support group and attend meetings. Support groups are created as a safe place to express their feelings, connect with those dealing with the same struggles, and find the perfect support system they need to get through a difficult time. If our support group doesn't align with your needs, we will help connect you with one that is right for you.

What Makes a Support Group Successful?

Support groups that are the most successful are those that selflessly help individuals with any of their emotional, medical, and psychological needs. They focus on recovery and healing from a group perspective, which can allow patients to feel less alone on their journey.
