Over fifteen years ago, two long-distance trail runners connected while running the Wasatch 100, an ultramarathon that covers one hundred miles of trails through the Wasatch mountain range. The two runners formed a bond based on their shared passions for long-distance trail running and recovery.Â
Wasatch Crest’s Founder and CEO Jim Huffman and Clinical Director Rich McDonald, CMHC were those two runners. Together in 2016, they established Wasatch Crest, a mountainside addiction treatment center in Heber City, UT, centered on integrity, compassion, and community.Â
Jim and Rich developed a team of dedicated specialists, many of whom are in long-term recovery themselves. Wasatch Crest’s team wholeheartedly understands first-hand both the necessary courage and absolute possibility of recovery.Â
Over the last five years, Wasatch Crest has expanded to offer a continuum of care that includes residential treatment, outpatient treatment, gender-specific transitional living, and aftercare resources. Through targeted individual treatment plans, adventure-based therapy experiences, and our Wasatch Warriors alumni community, our clients have been able to confidently embrace recovery.Â
As we were during the last five years, Wasatch Crest is here to help guide clients along their healing journey as they create new stories in sobriety. If you’re in need of support, you can always reach out to us.Â
