When you come to Wasatch Crest Recovery, it is an ideal time to get away from the stresses and pressures of everyday life and find lasting wellness and recovery. To help you and our other residents at our rehab facility, we encourage you to carefully consider the items you bring with you. We have provided some outlines here of what to bring and what not to bring for your drug and alcohol treatment in Utah.
Items to bring:
- Clothing
- Please be aware that there is limited storage space for our residents. Each resident has a bureau and part of a closet, but it is unnecessary to bring excessive clothing.
- The following are not allowed outside of client rooms: bare midriffs, short skirts or shorts, shirts without sleeves, and sagging pants.
- Hats are not allowed in groups.
- While we have had an unseasonably warm winter, we are located in the mountains of Utah, so please bring some warm clothing.
- Toiletries
- Clients may visit Wal-Mart on a weekly basis, although this privilege depends on individual behavior, but it is a good idea to bring what you will need.
- Please be aware that anything with alcohol in the ingredient list will be locked up with medications. Clients may use these items, but they may not keep them in their rooms. Items that frequently have alcohol as an ingredient include perfume/cologne, some types of shampoo/conditioner, and face washes.
- Cash/credit card
- It can be helpful to bring a limited sum of money for toiletries, cigarettes, medications, or other needs. If the client is paying their own insurance premiums during treatment, they will need to bring cash/credit card for this as well.
- We fill prescriptions at Park City Pharmacy (435-776-7525). They accept called-in credit card information to keep on file to pay for any medications or copays. Families may do this ahead of time, if desired.
- Documents
- Please bring documents such as a driver’s license, social security card, and insurance cards if they are available.
- Medications
- All medications must be in their original packaging. Prescription medications must have their original prescription label.
- Information about any upcoming court dates or open charges
- Contact information for any probation officers, agency caseworkers, or other people who will need to know the statement of your treatment
